Erected in memory of ISABELLA NICHOL the beloved wife of William Cairns, Manufacturer, Ewes Mill, Langholm, who died at Stubholm on the 15th November 1861 aged 37 years “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” Also MARY CAIRNS their daughter who died on the 8th February 1850 aged 6 months and lies buried in Hawick Churchyard Also ELLEN DOUGLAS CAIRNS second daughter of the above who died at Hawick 11th August 1922 aged 68 years Also MARY CAIRNS daughter of the above who died at Edinburgh 24th October 1926 aged 74 years
